As much as we love Star Wars at Reels and Wheels, we can't do much with it since there are no cars (Unless you count the car they used to stand in for the ship that crashed into the Super Star Destroyer's bridge). However, there is a new hope! To celebrate the debut of Star Wars Episode 7, Reels and Wheels presents Star Wars Episode 4.5 - Corvette Summer!

It's 1978 and Mark Hamill is Kenny, a whiny brat who loves a car he saved from the junkyard along with his shop class. When the car is stolen, said whiny brat finds himself in a far off galaxy (Las Vegas) battling evil (Brion James!) only to find out that his father figure is the main villain all along. Sound familiar?

Except this time Luke's mom is a bit of a slut and he falls in love with a girl who is an aspiring prostitute.

Ok, so it's not exactly Star Wars. As a matter of fact, Hamill hoped this movie would help him avoid being typecast. Sadly, it was too mired in the 1970's to endure - especially with the Corvette. A gawdy, overdone customized C3.

Join James and Sid in a galaxy far away for a movie that really isn't as bad as it sounds, even though it doesn't have Han Solo in it.

Sid and James tackle another excellent movie on the latest Reels and Wheels - The 1967 classic, The Graduate!

Dustin Hoffman's breakout performance is enhanced by a lot of supporting players - a perfectionist director, SNL original Buck Henry as writer, an amazing performance by Anne Bancroft, the voice of KITT, and the mayor from Jaws. Perhaps even more important support for Dustin Hoffman comes in the form of a gorgeous 1966 Alfa Romeo Spider.

Enjoy one of the more enthralling discussions Reels and Wheels has had to date on an amazing, symbolic and satirical movie.

It seems like everyone is talking about James Bond now that Spectre is out, so Sid and James decided to call in podcast extraordinaire Kris Roley to talk about one of the greatest Bond movies of all time, Goldfinger!

Goldfinger really has the best of everything - Sean Connery as Bond, an amazing villain in Auric Goldfinger, a female need actually named "Pussy Galore," a killer henchman name Oddjob with the most lethal hat ever, and, of course, the greatest Aston Martin DB5 to ever spy on stuff.

Goldfinger was the Bond movie that started it all when it comes to cars packed with gadgets. Since Goldfinger, James Bond's car has become central to each movie. Join us as Kris Roley chats it up with James and Sid about the movie, the cars we see, and some of the best of James Bond vehicles.

When you run a podcast called "Reels and Wheels," an episode about 1977's "The Car" isn't just appropriate, it's inevitable. The Car is the grandaddy of evil car movies. It's also terrible. It's really terrible.

It's terrible enough that we felt it was important to invite our good friend, comic, screenwriter and critic, Jeff Davis to share the torture with us and help us break down what about this movie we so horribly, horribly wrong.

It seemed to have some keys to success - The Car itself was created by legendary customizer George Barris (You know him. He made the Batmobile!). The stunts were great. James Brolin was, um, creepy. Plus, a young pre-RoboCop Ronnie Cox is there as a whiny deputy.

Spoiler alert, the car gets destroyed, all the terrible actors act terribly and all the terrible characters learn no lesson and remain terrible. Better to listen to our podcast than actually watch this one. Subscribe on iTunes and Stitcher and leave us some feedback on social media - @ReelsAndWheels!

On this episode of Reels and Wheels, Sid gets his revenge on James. Being forced to watch Pretty in Pink for the last episode, Sid fights back the only way he knows how - by having James watch Maximum Overdrive.

Maximum Overdrive is the greatest movie ever (according to Sid) - mainly in the first 10 minutes. Then it just kind of drags on until the stupid ending slaps you in the face.

It's easy to overlook this movie's hour-long shortcomings because it has what no other movie has - A non-stop AC/DC soundtrack, a homicidal White 9000 tow truck with a compressed-air starter, a pre-Lisa Simpson Yeardly Smith annoying the hell out of you, and a coked-out-of-his-mind Stephen King as screenwriter AND director AND hilarious cameo.

How could you NOT love this movie? Unless you're James. How did James cope watching a movie he couldn't stand? How should you watch this movie? What we be the best way to edit it into something decent?

Disclaimer: James picked this one. James said "Hey Sid, we're doing Pretty in Pink on our next episode of Reels and Wheels!"

Sid took the challenge seriously and used a request that could have ended a friendship as a opportunity to prove there's nothing he wouldn't do for his beloved co-host.

Pretty in Pink is a horrid, vapid train wreck of a movie fraught with heavy-handed symbolism and human caricatures fighting cliched battles. The only redeeming quality James and Sid could agree on was that James Spader does an awesome job playing a douche.

Was it worth it? Was James justified in making Sid watch this metaphoric coffee stain on the brat pack tuxedo? Is the Karmann Ghia the perfect car for Molly Ringwald's Andie? Would she even have a car?! How about that BMW 318i? Awesome... or a bit boring?

For this episode of Reels and Wheels, Sid and James are joined by legendary automotive journalist Phil Greden, AKA Murilee Martin!

Two Lane Blacktop is easily one of the greatest car movies of all time and Phil gives Sid and James quite an education on the climate of the time - 1970, the peak of the muscle car era. So what's really going on in this movie? What's everyone's theory on the strange ending? How do we place it all in historical context?

Listen to one of our most fascinating episodes yet as Phil Greden tells some excellent stories and demostrates his vast knowledge of the cars and the players. This episode is required listening for any car buff.

It was a tough to be a kid in 1986. We begged our parents, saved our money and did everything we could to buy the latest Transformers toys, only to see them mercilessly killed off in traumatic fashion. This was Transformers: The Movie (1986).

To help navigate through their childhood trauma, Sid and James welcome Cenate Pruitt, someone who can best be described as a "Transformers Scholar" as they go beyond the scope of a normal episode of Reels & Wheels to discuss not just the cars and the movie, but the far-reaching effects these toys had on our lives, the ins and outs of how they were brought to life in various forms, and some extremely cool behind the scenes stories about the movie.

How does the movie hold up after 30 years? When you strip away the parts that upset you as a kid, is it now fun to watch? And how about Orson Welles! Fat jokes aside, he was a cool guy in his final days. Listen and learn.
