When you run a podcast called "Reels and Wheels," an episode about 1977's "The Car" isn't just appropriate, it's inevitable. The Car is the grandaddy of evil car movies. It's also terrible. It's really terrible.

It's terrible enough that we felt it was important to invite our good friend, comic, screenwriter and critic, Jeff Davis to share the torture with us and help us break down what about this movie we so horribly, horribly wrong.

It seemed to have some keys to success - The Car itself was created by legendary customizer George Barris (You know him. He made the Batmobile!). The stunts were great. James Brolin was, um, creepy. Plus, a young pre-RoboCop Ronnie Cox is there as a whiny deputy.

Spoiler alert, the car gets destroyed, all the terrible actors act terribly and all the terrible characters learn no lesson and remain terrible. Better to listen to our podcast than actually watch this one. Subscribe on iTunes and Stitcher and leave us some feedback on social media - @ReelsAndWheels!
